The Rotary Club of Ongata Rongai initiated a Fire Side Chat, where we invite policymakers, community leaders, residents for a discussion on issues about the community regarding infrastructure, health, education, security, etc.
The first Fire Side Chat help of Friday 3rd September 2021, was graced by H.E. The Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, in a candid conversation on areas of partnership and collaboration with the county.
- The governor outlined the many projects that the county have facilitated that are in line with the Rotary areas of focus:
- Education
- The public primary school within kitengela
- TVET college in Rangau
- Equipping of secondary school
- Health
- Upgrade of Kajiado Hospital to level 5
- Operating theater
- Dialysis
- Health centers across the county
- Supporting of Ongata Rongai health center in conjunction Rotary Club of Ongata Rongai
- Infrastructure
- Road grading and upgrading
- Sewage treatment

Questions from the residents present were addressed, and issues were taken up for follow-up, the Counties executives who accompanied the governor responded and picked up the respective action point, some of these include.
- Arap moi road grading
- Kamura road grading
- Kware Stage chaos,, where vendors / trucks have taken over the road, which becomes a risk to all
- Solid Waste management
- Youth support through tenders
